Ok I have it solved... I needed to run the 32bit version of TVP. For some reason the other version(64-bit?) of TVP has glitchy sound loading with windows 7.
Thanks everyone. I think I am fine now.

Re: Sound isn't there
So a 2 second wav file worked fine in TVP... but not a 1 minute version. Strange. Why would a short wav work and not a longer one? I tried to load a long mp3 128kbps stereo and another that was joint stereo and both only showed about 1/30th of a second of sound. Which is interesting because the fram...

Re: Sound isn't there
OS is Windows 7, TVP Animation 9.
TVP shows that the file loaded... but the file has no waves/data.
I attached an image so you can see the problem.

Sound isn't there
So I "Load Sound" and the song appears, but there are no waves. When you play the animation there is no sound. I've tried many .mp3s, .wavs, and .aifs. The scrubbing area is just empty. Once I loaded a song that had the waves of first 0.5 seconds or so. So only 0.5 seconds of the beginning...

About resolution and formats
I do not know much about digital formats. I understand the basics of PAL/NTSC, resolution, but there are many formats I do not understand. How does "aspect ratio" work? (Something about pixel sizes?) What is "field"?(Upper First, Lower First, Progressive) Why does "NTSC D1 1...
