Re: TVPaint Animation 11.7.2 is available!
Hey there, is the newsletter announcement saying "This latest version ensures complete compatibility with newer Macs!" meaning that the dongles will also work on new macs?

presumably corrupted file crashes tvpaint when starting
Hello, I have a file that not only will not open since I last saved it, but also causes the program to crash when I try to start it. The file is 1,6 MB but I believe to have had bigger files which TvPaint handled without a problem, and so it is presumably corrupted. Unfortunately, it was the last fi...

Re: dependent / independent images
Well, you can also use the actual X-Sheet tab instead of the Timeline. If its tab isn't displayed next to those of Project and Timeline, go to Preferences, then Display and check "Display X-sheet Tab" in the Timeline Menu. I believe the X-Sheet function hasn't been updated much in awhile d...

Re: Colo & Texture Layer Alpha
when you click on the CTG layer's little palette symbol in the layer panel, you'll see that in the appearing "edit colors "panel is, additional to the colors that you picked so far, a field (by default with a turquoise square) which says "Exclusion". You can use it with the CTG p...

Re: Import Image at point in Timeline
A workaround you could try would be this one: When you're already at the right position in the timeline, make a new empty layer and import the image as a custom brush (and click "stamp in place" if the image has the same measurements or at least aspect ratio as your project). If it's more ...

Re: Multiply layer MERGE ALL
Hm, you're right, David, I tested it just then and the custom brush actually doesn't pick up the content of multiplied layers, though I could have sworn that I have used this method successfully in the past. Maybe it worked in a previous version? Or maybe it hadn't been multiply mode layers but some...

Re: Multiply layer MERGE ALL
Another thing you can do is, instead of merging the layers, to create a new empty layer, make a custom brush out of the to-be-merged layers and press "stamp in place" on that new empty layer. Then I believe you get what you see. If you want to keep your project small and tidy, you then hav...

Re: Storyboard/Animatic Inquiry
Maybe it can be kept even less complex. I just checked, and actually the project panel displays not necessarily the first frame of each clip, but the respective one that you were at when changing from clip to project view. When scrolling over the clip, it will also always return to that very frame. ...

Re: Storyboard/Animatic Inquiry
It's a nice idea, but which frame of the previous or following scenes would be displayed with the light table if there are more than one in each clip?
