Corrupt File and Update Tvpaint 10

So I had a mishap happen last night when I was working on an animation commission. The power went out as tvpaint was saving the file, and it appears the file got corrupted. Everytime I try to open it, it crashes/locks (spinning wheel of death) my tvpaint program. The size of the file appears to be accurate though, and I am just wondering if there is a way to save it.

I have tvpaint 10 Pro 64 bit.
Windows 7.

I uploaded the corrupt file to see if anyone else could possibly open it or fix it. (WARNING: It's almost 2 GBs)

I also have version 10.0.18 and wish to update it to 10.5 (I have all the codes, dongle in my desktop, and have heard that this could possibly save my corrupt file), but I am completely confused on how to update it or register tvpaint to my account. First register an account here:

https://tvpaint.odoo.com/en_US/web/login

Then click on Your Software > Using the Safenet protection system

You should then see your purchased software and a link to download the update to latest version (10.5.7) .
