TVP 11.7.4 not listening to "Don't display again" on update to v.12 notification

Hello,
this is a minor oddity in my TVPaint 11.7.4 behavior but it's annoying. I'm getting repeated notification about updating to the version 12. Currently I do not want to update, so I always click "Don't display again" (or something like that). Yet the notification *does* display again on startup. What can I do to finally make it disappear and not come back (and please don't say I should update:).
