TVPaint Animation 12.0.4 is here.

What’s new in TVPaint Animation 12.0.4?

Timeline:

• Camera Layer is now disabled on new projects. To activate it, click on the Camera icon in the Main Panel.
• You can now increase exposures for all selected frames on the Timeline.

• Right-clicking on the magnifying glass button in the Clip Montage Timeline now opens different zoom options (same as in the Clip:Timeline tab).
• Layer transparency level is now displayed even if the layer is locked.
• You can now do selections in the Timeline View in the Project tab.

Camera:

• You can now link Camera curves!

  The Camera Curves links allow you to link curves to the one you have currently selected for editing.
  If two or more curves are linked to the currently selected one, then any new curve point you are creating will also be added to all the associated curves. Modifications of said points will be reflected on all the associated curves.
  Curves can be unlinked anytime you want.

Interface:

• Fullscreen option is now available when Multi-screen Panels option is off.

General:

• A button has been added in the Prefrences to export all custom parameters / settings at once (except for shortcuts, which will come in the next update).
• We've also added a button to import the settings that were exported.
• Added Antialiasing selection drop-down menu for Crop Tool.
• TIFF exports, TIFF imports and PSD imports now include DPI information.
• Added a font selection panel option to the Slate's settings
• Options to create new papers have been added in the right-click menu of the Paper Panel
• Save Alarm "Warn Me" mode should be active even if project has not been saved yet.
• You can now move the Light Table's pivot point off center.

What has been fixed and/or improved in TVPaint Animation 12.0.4?

Camera:

• Deleting the Camera Layer no longer prevents Canvas refresh.

Interface:

• Color Panel size is no longer shrunk when Interface Scaling is at 1.5, 2, 2.5 & 3.
• Panels snap once again.
• You can now collapse/uncollapse categories in the Preferences panel.
• Fixed an issue preventing the Romaji-conversion propositions pop-up from showing correctly
• [Windows only] Fixed an issue preventing the multiscreen option to not work properly with Wacom's Display Toggle feature.
• When on a CTG Layer, the dropdown menu to change the color mode is disabled (as you can only be in Color mode).
• Fixed various issues causing Multiscreen to not correctly work with Wacom's Display Toggle option.

Timeline:

• Fixed a bug that could place new instances created on CTG to be at the wrong place.
• Fixed issues related to Folder duration.
• Project Tab → Timeline View no longer cuts frames when too many frames are present on a clip.
• Center timeline option now works as expected.
• Fixed various unusual undo behaviour when deleting layers.
• [Windows only] Fixed unusual undo behaviour when deleting folder layers.

Rigging:

• Fixed a crash that could happen when deleting a Rigging Folder.
• Fixed a crash that could happen when trying to rig when the current layer has no bone.
• Fixed a crash that could happen when duplicating a clip that has a Puppet folder.
• Fixed a crash that could happen when undoing a newly created rig.
• Fixed a crash that could happen when stretching a puppet layer.
• Layers should no longer be in reverse order when undoing and redoing a rig.
• Bounding box should now correctly have its size when opening a project.

George:

• tv_SaveDisplay now saves DPI information.

Drawing:

• Using "Optimize" on a brush no longer breaks anti-aliasing.
• Using "Optimize" on a freshly cut brush no longer change its size.
• Wintab + Subpixel now allows right-click once again.

Audio:

• Fixed a refresh issue on the Master track that was happening when deleting a soundtrack.

General:

• Fixed an issue causing Legacy brushes to be slower in v12 than in V11.
• Using Paint Bucket when the current layer is using Multiply Mode no longer causes unusual results.
• Fill Tool's opacity level is now correctly saved.
• When publishing a Storyboard, you are now warned if the publish path does not exist.
• Change some Line Smoothing localization on tools.
• Removed the "Fields" option in the Modify project panel.
• You can once again select the Wintab option in the Preferences > Drawing panel.
• Importing papers should no longer cause a crash when importing them via the File Browser.
• Fixed several broken links to the website (there are still a few more that will be corrected for the final release, if you find some, please tell us).
• Fixed some embedded Custom Panels brushes' names (in the Pens, Pencils and Tool Presets Legacy panels).
• Replaced Twitter icon & link with a BlueSky icon & link.
• Fixed a crash that could happen after pressing Enter on the Text Tool brush.

macOS:

• "Always Keep the Same Config" option no longer causes a crash upon quitting.
• Opening the File Browser and closing it no longer blocks keyboard input. [Multiscreen only]
• TVPaint 12 now opens on Low-Resolution mode.

Linux:

• Fixed a crash that could happen when hovering over the software.
• Window is no longer getting bigger everytime the software starts.
